The goal is to simply walk. And ideally, when you walk, do so aimlessly, without any foreign influence like listening to a podcast or talking to someone on the phone. Basically, avoid anything that keeps you from being present in the moment and requires conscious thinking.

Here are some steps for an easy start:

1. Plan:

  • Decide a trail to walk

  • Do a trial walk to know how much distance can be covered in your available time

2. Block time:

  • Set aside start and stop times for your walk. Put a reminder if needed

  • Ideally, walk for at least 20 minutes

3. Enjoy:

  • Once the time starts, get out in the open and walk at a relaxed pace

  • Breathe deep and absorb the nature

4. Extra:

  • If you want, then feel free to get a friend along, but avoid talking on the phone

P.S.: The goal is to surrender to nature, so do not think about anything. But if a thought comes to mind, do not resist it either, just like meditation. Just look at your steps and the nature around you.

P.P.S: If your surroundings do not have a park or forest, feel free to go to a roof or open area. While greenery is preferred, the least requirement is to walk in the open. Use the treadmill as a last resort.
